“Hactor Cruck in Preston-on-Wye, Herefordshire, is a restored medieval hall house winning the RICS West Midlands Conservation Award, May 2012, and commended in the RICS National Awards, Oct 2012. The restoration created a “House that is modern, yet closer to its original appearance”.”
Hacton Cruck is a project that I am working on with my Dad currently. He is in the process of writing an extremely detailed document outlining the original build of the medieval hall house, why certain methods were used and how obstacles were overcome during the build.
I am creating the 3D visuals for this project, with the hopes that it can aid visitors with a deeper insight into it’s history and construction.
